Dr Constant Nel
Dr Constant Nel was born in Pietermaritzburg and completed his schooling at Gelofte in Pinetown. After graduating from the University of the Free State as a doctor in 1986, he spent some time working in Rustenburg and abroad in Canada.
Thereafter he returned to the Free State, obtaining his post graduate specialist degree in 1995. Dr Nel founded Cachet-Nel Oncology with Dr Antoinette Lion-Cachet in 1995.
He has a special interest in performing brachytherapy for early prostate cancer with over 4000 cases successfully completed. When he is not working Dr Nel loves to travel.

Dr Brent Green
Dr Brent Green is born and bred in Bloemfontein. He graduated as a medical doctor from the University of the Free State in 2003 and then as a specialist Radiation Oncologist in 2010 from the same institution.
He joined Cachet-Nel Oncology in 2011 soon after obtaining his specialist qualification. Although Dr Green treats a wide range of cancers, he has a special interest in head and neck cancers. He currently serves on the Board of The South African Society of Clinical and Radiation Oncologists.
He is an avid cyclist and enjoys fine wine and good food in his spare time.

Dr Thomas Erasmus
Dr Thomas Erasmus matriculated at Potchefstroom Gimnasium High School and completed his medical degree at the University of the Free State in 2000.
After working in the United Kingdom for 2 years he embarked on his Oncology specialisation back in South Africa at the University of Cape Town and the University of the Free State, graduating in 2008. He was also admitted as a Fellow of the Colleges of Medicine as a specialist Radiation Oncologist at that time.
He gained invaluable experience working at Alberts, Bouwer and Jordaan Oncology in Klerksdorp for 4 years, before joining Cachet-Nel Oncology in 2012. Dr Erasmus’ special interest lies in breast and prostate cancer, as well as lymphoma and stereotactic radiation. In his down time Dr Erasmus enjoys the outdoors and is particularly partial to the game of golf.

Dr Katie Yazbek
Dr Katie Yazbek hails from the Eastern Cape and after moving to the Free State she matriculated at St Michael’s School in Bloemfontein in 1993. She completed her undergraduate medical degree in 1999 at the University of the Free State.
While working at 3 Military hospital she obtained an MBA degree in Health Care Management, followed by 15 years at Bloemfontein Mediclinic as a casualty officer and then as a general practitioner.
She joined Cachet-Nel Oncology in 2021 as a medical officer, with a special interest in palliative care. She obtained her Diploma in Palliative Care in 2021 from UCT. In her down time, she enjoys walking, gym and yoga.
